We are building the Agent Cloud and power the infrastructure behind AI labs and some of the most widely used consumer and enterprise agents, including Manus, Genspark, Lindy, Groq, and Artificial Analysis. Our team includes original authors of Firecracker, the AWS microVM technology powering Lambda, along with alumni of Cognition, JetBrains, Zapier, and Wish.\n\nAbout the role\n\nYou'll develop the Go services behind E2B's enterprise orchestration platform, which manages deployments in customers' AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure environments.\n\nThe platform coordinates operations across remote Kubernetes clusters and gives engineers the tools to understand and manage the fleet. You'll extend the APIs and distributed workflows behind it, from design through production operation.\n\nYou'll work with SREs across Enterprise Engineering to make customer deployments reliable and easy to operate.\n\nYou'll participate in production on-call for the components you own.\n\nWhat you'll do\n\nBuild and operate Go services for cluster installation, configuration, scaling, upgrades, recovery, and decommissioning.\n\nDevelop distributed workflows that remain correct through partial failures, retries, and concurrent changes, and reconcile state across remote clusters.\n\nBuild fleet tools that show cluster inventory, health, configuration drift, rollout progress, and audit history, and help engineers diagnose failures.\n\nIntegrate Kubernetes APIs, Helm, and infrastructure packages into repeatable deployment workflows across supported cloud configurations.\n\nDesign APIs and data models for deployment state, configuration, and access validation. Build modular, well-tested orchestration software that other engineers can confidently extend.\n\nOwn the reliability of the services you build. Add observability and integration tests, validate releases and recovery behavior, and use incidents to address recurring failures.\n\nWork with FDE, Solutions, and Support on complex deployment issues and software escalations.\n\nReduce manual fleet operations through automation and self-service tooling.\n\nWhat we're looking for\n\n5+ years building and operating production backend systems, ideally infrastructure control planes, deployment automation, or asynchronous services.\n\nStrong Go skills, including concurrency, memory management, and profiling.\n\nStrong distributed-systems fundamentals, including durable workflows, state machines, consistency, idempotency, and failure recovery.\n\nExperience designing REST or gRPC APIs, including resource models, authentication, error handling, documentation, and backward-compatible changes.\n\nExperience with PostgreSQL or another relational database, including schema design, indexes, transactions, and migrations.\n\nExperience testing and debugging long-running operations across unreliable networks and remote systems.\n\nHands-on Kubernetes and Helm experience, including working with cluster APIs and releases. You can debug issues across Go services, cloud IAM, networks, and containers.\n\nYou write maintainable, well-tested code and review AI-assisted changes for correctness and fit with the existing system.\n\nAbility to take an ambiguous backend project from design through production.\n\nNice to have\n\nBuilding AI agents or applications that use tools, execute code, or run in sandboxes.\n\nBuilding control planes, Kubernetes operators, or infrastructure APIs.\n\nShipping BYOC, private-cloud, or self-hosted software into customer environments.\n\nBuilding multi-cloud, multi-region, or multi-tenant systems.\n\nTerraform modules, plans, and state; GitOps, Argo CD, or cloud-provider APIs.\n\nEvent-driven systems, message queues, or workflow engines.\n\nInfrastructure, developer-tools, or AI-agent platform products.\n\nTypeScript or Python alongside Go.\n\nOpen-source backend, Kubernetes, or distributed-systems contributions.\n\nCompensation: $175K–$350K + equity\n\nWhat it’s like to work at E2B\n\nWe’re a fast-growing startup with in-person (4 days on-site, 1 day WFH) offices in San Francisco and Prague, Czech Republic.
