This is a strategic individual contributor role — not a people management position — but one that requires technical ownership, architectural leadership, and forward-looking planning.\r\nYou will design and build scalable, secure, and maintainable systems that support and advance our products and internal platforms. In addition to writing high-quality production code, you will help forecast technical needs, identify architectural gaps, reduce technical debt, and drive development initiatives that align with business growth.\r\nThe ideal candidate combines deep hands-on engineering expertise with strong systems thinking, business awareness, and the confidence to influence technical direction across projects.\r\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\r\nDesign, develop, and maintain scalable internal applications and services using Python and related frameworks such as Flask, SQLAlchemy, Alembic, PyQT, and ctypes.\r\nOwn architectural decisions and proactively identify system improvements, scalability risks, and technical debt.\r\nForecast development needs based on product roadmap and operational demands, helping guide long-term technical strategy.\r\nLead complex debugging, performance optimization, and root cause analysis across application, database, and infrastructure layers.\r\nDesign and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, improving automation, build processes, testing, and deployment workflows.\r\nDevelop and optimize SQL-based data systems, including query tuning, stored procedures, indexing strategies, and secure data access.\r\nImplement and advocate for secure coding practices, system hardening, and application integrity standards.\r\nProduce clear technical documentation and contribute to coding standards and engineering best practices.\r\nCollaborate cross-functionally with Product, Operations, and Infrastructure teams to deliver aligned, business-driven solutions.\r\nServe as a senior technical resource within engineering, elevating code quality and influencing direction through strong execution and code reviews.\r\nQualifications\r\nRequired Education and Experience\r\n5+ years of progressive software engineering experience with ownership of production systems.\r\nProven experience with Python and libraries: ctypes, PyQT, Flask, Alembic, SQLAlchemy.\r\nStrong experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline management.\r\nDeep understanding of SQL and experience with MS SQL Server or similar RDBMS platforms.\r\nDemonstrated ability to make architectural decisions and drive technical initiatives.\r\nStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.\r\nPreferred / Plus\r\nBackground in systems administration, including experience with infrastructure automation, system monitoring, and performance optimization across Linux or Windows environments.\r\nExperience with database administration practices such as query tuning, data integrity, backup strategies, and collaboration with engineering teams to support scalable application architectures.\r\nProficiency in Java coding and development, with experience building backend services or integrating with enterprise systems.\r\nPhysical Demands & Work Environment\r\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
