As well as independently plan, organize, and implement daily shipping activities.\nResponsibilities:\nReceiving and Inspecting: Verify the accuracy and quality of incoming deliveries.\nInventory Management: Keep detailed records of stock and inventory, ensuring everything is properly labeled and stored.\nMaterial Handling: Cutting metal in coils or sheets per work order specifications\nOrder Fulfillment: Ensure that deliveries match purchase orders and prepare items for shipment.\nSafety Compliance: Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.\nCollaboration: Work with other departments to locate missing packages, correct delivery errors, and replace damaged products.\nShipment Preparation: Prepare outgoing shipments by packing items into containers, labeling them, and ensuring they are ready for transport.\nScheduling: Schedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure sufficient storage space and staff availability.\nRecord Keeping: Keep detailed records of goods shipped and received and prepare regular shipping and receiving reports for managers.\nProblem Solving: Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling, such as damaged goods or customer complaints.\nQualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent GED certificate\nExperience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.\nProven track record of driving operational excellence and achieving measurable results.\nSolid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/MRP systems.\nCertification in forklift operation, a plus\nKnowledge of operating other warehouse machinery\nData entry, math and computer skills\nAttention to detail and problem-solving skills\nExcellent time management and organizational skills\nWritten and verbal communication skills\nPhysical Requirements:\nWork will be performed primarily in a manufacturing environment.\nMay require extended periods of sitting.\nRequires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, to permit the employee to function in a general office environment.\nMust be able to work on multiple assignments, under moderate stress levels.\nReasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds.\nPushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and lifting may be required.\nElcon Precision is subject to Federal Contractor requirements and is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
