Their primary focus will be creating HSM firmware that supports our robust key management solution. Beyond this responsibility, the candidate will also contribute to projects using Java and other modern web technologies, ensuring alignment with the latest industry security standards. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working independently, leveraging their expertise, strong troubleshooting and debugging abilities, and sound judgment to achieve objectives efficiently.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nPassionately design, develop, test, document and deploy software\n\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions\n\nParticipate in requirement reviews, optimize existing systems, code reviews, unit testing and documentation\n\nWork with the team on new requirements and collaborate with other groups within organization\n\nExhibit a process-oriented mind set\n\nFunction independently with project assignments and with minimal supervision\n\nKnowledgeable about secure development life cycle, threat modelling, and web application security assessments\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\nBachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent degree in a technology discipline.\n\n3+ years’ experience in C programming\n\nExperience with cryptographic programming – PKCS#11, symmetric and asymmetric encryption, padding schemes, key management\n\nExperience working with multi-person teams and projects\n\nExperience with one or more of Java, C#, Python or React\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nExperience with Git, BitBucket, Jira, Jenkins\n\nLow-level security protocols, security standards/vulnerabilities. obfuscation\n\nExperience with multi-threaded development\n\nWeb services, REST, SOAP\n\nExperienced with agile processes, methodologies, and tools\n\nFamiliarity with PCI and FIPS-140 requirements\n\nFamiliarity with EMV specification\n\nExperience in embedded software development\n\nExperience with XML and JSON parsing and manipulation\n\nExperience with optimizing code for performance and troubleshooting performance issues\n\nLinux experience\n\nYour future short-term and major projects:\n\nBecome a subject matter expert on our custom HSM firmware\n\nHelp the development team evolve the architecture and stack\n\nIdentify opportunities to drive innovation, accelerate product launches, and remove bottlenecks to deliver results faster.\n\nMake impactful contributions by helping the team design and code to match the product team's vision and also continue expanding knowledge base\n\nWhere you will be: This is a hybrid role requiring three days per week in our Shakopee, MN headquarters office.\n\nAbout Entrust\n\nOur growing company relies on curious, dedicated and innovative colleagues to anticipate the future and provide solutions for a more connected, mobile and secure world. Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, education, skills and experience. This position is also eligible for the company’s discretionary annual incentive plan.
