Those qualified shall be responsible for inspecting commercial, residential, and industrial properties, during and after construction.\n\nWhat You'll Do\nIn this role, you'll play a vital part in safeguarding communities by:\n\nConduct inspections before, during, and after construction to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.\n\nIssue violation notices, stop-work orders, and permits for construction.\n\nDocument result of inspections.\n\nEffectively communicate findings to homeowners and contractors.\n\nCoordinate with and assist other field inspectors. Pick up extra inspections as needed.\n\nExplain and clarify code related problems with contractor field personnel.\n\nCommunicate and uphold standards consistently.\n\nConduct building damage assessment inspections.\n\nInvest time in continued education.\n\nProvide training and mentoring to current inspectors, coordinate and assist in selection and training of new staff.\n\nFollow up on phone calls and complaint issues.\n\nHandle customer service issues for walk-ins that need clarification on code-related issues.\n\nServe as a resource for inspectors in the field.\n\nInterpret and apply Building, Electrical, Elevator, Mechanical, and Plumbing standards and regulations.\n\nConduct ride-along with field inspectors to provide ongoing supervision and feedback regarding job performance and consistency on field calls.\n\nMaintain awareness of new developments in the field of inspections; incorporate new developments as appropriate into programs.\n\nPerform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n\nInternational Code Council (ICC) Certifications (Commercial and Residential).\n\nMinimum of 3 years’ experience working in jurisdictions.\n\nAbility to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.\n\nWhat We Offer\n\nEmployee Discount Program\n\nGenerous Employee Referral Program\n\nAmazing opportunities for career growth and development\n\nEEO Non-Discrimination and ADA Reasonable Accommodation Statement\nWilldan is an equal opportunity employer.
