Candidates should understand how infrastructure, applications, security, and deployment processes work together to deliver a complete solution.\n\nWhat You’ll Do\nDesign, deploy, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure within Amazon Web Services (AWS)\nBuild and manage infrastructure using AWS CloudFormation\nDevelop, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines\nAutomate infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, configuration, and operational processes\nIntegrate security controls and practices throughout the software development and deployment lifecycle\nSupport applications operating within a Zero Trust security environment\nWork closely with developers to ensure infrastructure is designed and configured appropriately for application requirements\nTroubleshoot infrastructure, application deployment, configuration, and environment issues\nSupport both new system development and existing production applications\nParticipate in security implementation, validation, and testing activities\nCollaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and client teams to solve technical problems\nContribute to architecture and implementation discussions rather than simply executing predefined tasks\nAdapt solutions as requirements and client priorities evolve\nRequired Qualifications\nApproximately 4–6 years of relevant DevSecOps, cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, or related experience\nStrong hands-on experience with AWS\nPractical experience deploying and managing AWS infrastructure\nHands-on experience with AWS CloudFormation / Infrastructure as Code\nExperience building, maintaining, or supporting CI/CD pipelines\nExperience with infrastructure and deployment automation\nUnderstanding of secure software development and deployment practices\nPractical knowledge of implementing and testing security controls\nFamiliarity with Zero Trust security principles\nStrong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills\nAbility to work effectively within an integrated development and engineering team\nAbility to apply technical knowledge to new or changing problems rather than relying solely on predefined procedures\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting technology solutions within a federal government or other highly regulated environment\nExperience integrating cloud infrastructure directly with application development and deployment\nScripting or software development experience, particularly Python\nExperience supporting production cloud applications\nFamiliarity with federal security and compliance requirements\nPrevious experience working within multidisciplinary Agile or software delivery teams\nExperience communicating technical concepts to client stakeholders\nWhat Success Looks Like\n\nThe successful candidate will be able to demonstrate practical technical capability, not simply familiarity with DevSecOps terminology or AWS services.\n\nYou should be able to explain systems you have personally built, deployed, configured, or supported; describe the technical decisions you made; troubleshoot problems in real time; and apply your experience to unfamiliar scenarios.\n\nCandidates should expect a technically rigorous interview process that may include a live technical challenge designed to evaluate practical application of the skills represented on the candidate’s résumé.\n\nFederal Engagement Requirements\nU.S. Citizenship is required\nCandidate must be eligible to obtain a Federal Public Trust determination\nThis position requires regular onsite work in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, generally approximately two days per week\nOccasional work at an additional client location within the greater DC/Northern Virginia region may be required\nCore Skills\n\nAWS | DevSecOps | CloudFormation | Infrastructure as Code | CI/CD | Cloud Infrastructure | Deployment Automation | Security | Zero Trust | Application Infrastructure | Python | Federal Systems | Public Trust\n\nCandidate Profile\n\nWe are looking for engineers who can walk the talk.\n\nA strong résumé is only the starting point.
