Job Description Senior CNC Turning Setup / OperatorLocation: South Windsor, CT About the OpportunityBestLogic Staffing is partnering with a leading manufacturing client to hire an experienced Senior CNC Turning Setup / Operator. This role is ideal for a skilled machinist who can independently set up, program adjustments, and run CNC lathes while maintaining high precision and efficiency.You'll play a key role in production, quality control, and mentoring junior operators. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform full setups and operation of CNC turning (lathe) machinesRead and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawingsMake program edits, offsets, and adjustments to meet tight tolerancesSelect and apply proper cutting tools, feeds, and speedsPerform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring toolsTroubleshoot machining issues and implement process improvementsMaintain high production output while ensuring top quality standardsComplete all required production documentation (scrap, counts, time logs)Maintain clean and organized workstations and equipmentAssist in training and mentoring junior machinists and operatorsFollow all safety, quality, and company policies Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent5+ years of CNC turning (lathe) setup and operation experienceStrong understanding of G-code editing and machine controlsExperience with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)Ability to hold tight tolerances and work independentlyMust be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorshipMust meet ITAR/EAR compliance requirements Preferred QualificationsExperience with multi-axis CNC lathesKnowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practicesStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsLeadership or mentoring experience Why This Role?Work with advanced CNC equipmentLeadership opportunity within the shop floorCompetitive pay based on experienceLong-term career stability and growthBestLogic Staffing is a Top Staffing Firm that's partnered with some of the largest names in various industries.
