As a Sr. Data Engineer, you will be part of the Data & Analytics organization supporting the Data Foundation team. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of technical ownership, the ability to mentor and collaborate across functions, and a commitment to building governed, production-ready data pipelines that power trusted decision-making and AI-enabled capabilities.\n\nJob Title:Sr. Data Engineer\n\nLocation: Hybrid\n\nWhat's the Job?\n\nLead the design and implementation of enterprise-grade data pipelines on Snowflake and Azure, owning ingestion, transformation, and serving layers for governed data products.\nArchitect ingestion and integration patterns across source systems, applying CDC, batch, and streaming approaches where appropriate.\nEstablish transformation frameworks using dbt as the modeling standard, ensuring pipelines are version-controlled, tested, and observable.\nOwn pipeline SLAs by defining and tracking freshness, completeness, and error-rate targets, with documented runbooks and production on-call readiness.\nDrive schema governance, data modeling discipline, and data lineage/metadata management so every governed KPI has traceable sources and clear stewardship.\n\nWhat's Needed?\n\n4-7 years of professional data engineering experience with demonstrated technical leadership on enterprise-grade data platforms.\nAdvanced SQL skills, including complex query authoring, performance tuning, and schema design at scale.\nHands-on experience with dbt (preferred) or equivalent transformation frameworks, including testing, documentation, and CI/CD integration.\nProduction experience with Snowflake and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Azure data services (including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Storage, and Key Vault).\nWorking knowledge of data governance, lineage, cataloging, and security/compliance practices in regulated environments (SOC 2 Type 2 and PII handling principles).\n\nWhat's in it for me?\n\nOpportunity to architect and operate a governed Snowflake + Azure-native data foundation that supports leadership reporting and AI-powered capabilities.\nWork in an AI governance framework developed in partnership with the client's Legal, InfoSec, Privacy, and Compliance to support responsible AI deployment.\nUse AI development assistants (GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, and emerging agent-based tooling) as part of daily engineering practice.\nPartner directly with the Director, Data & Analytics on platform strategy, roadmap, and Center of Excellence operating model.\nMentor Data Engineers through code review, architectural pairing, and knowledge sharing as the function scales.\n\nUpon completion of waiting period consultants are eligible for:\n\nMedical and Prescription Drug Plans\nDental Plan\nVision Plan\nHealth Savings Account\nHealth Flexible Spending Account\nDependent Care Flexible Spending Account\nSupplemental Life Insurance\nShort Term and Long Term Disability Insurance\nBusiness Travel Insurance\n401(k), Plus Match\nWeekly Pay\n\nIf this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
