We are seeking a highly motivated hardworking individual who works well in a fast-paced environment, and extremely confident operating heavy equipment. To excel in this position, the candidate must be able to multitask, communicate well with others, and willing to work at a fast pace while maintaining the quality and accuracy set forth in the job expectations. The operator is responsible for properly moving pipes through all phases of the operation.\nESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES\nOperate large front-end loaders carrying poly-pipe and load them onto trucks\nTransport bundles around the yard\nEnsure cargo is properly loaded according to safety requirements\nAdhere to OSHA and yard safety rules, policies, procedures, and regulations\nPerform pre-shift safety inspection on the vehicle systems, equipment and accessories and report needed repairs to management\nPerform duties with minimum supervision\nOther duties as assigned\nQUALIFICATIONS\nHigh School Diploma or GED\nAt least 2 years of loader operator experience in a pipe yard environment preferred\nAbility to work in outdoor environments with potential exposure to dust, noise, and inclement weather conditions\nAbility to operate heavy equipment for extended periods of time\nAbility to work both independently and as part of a team with effective communication\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nMust have good hand/eye coordination and be able to operate hand/foot controls\nPossess good vision to perceive depth at close range and distances up to 150 feet\nMust be able to climb on and off equipment to operate and service\nMust be able to bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel in limited space\nMust be able to sit and operate equipment for long periods up to 10+ hours per day\nCapable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.\nMust work outside in all weather conditions consistent with extreme ambient temperatures: heat, cold, wetness, dryness, dust, and noisy conditions\nMust be able to work at various heights\nThis job description should not be construed as an exhaustive statement of duties, responsibilities or requirements, but a general description of the job.
