The role focuses on ensuring our products consistently achieve the highest levels of performance and quality.\nKey Responsibilities Design and evaluate tools, jigs, and fixtures for test equipment and setup using CAD and FEA analysis tools to validate structural integrity and optimize performance.\nDetermine and source fabrication of tools and fixtures.\nAssist in test request review and associated fixture requirements.\nDevelop and execute design verification test plans, document and publish results.\nDefine, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for products, systems, components, or modifications in collaboration with other departments.\nIdentify functional problems and recommend resolutions.\nHelp define internal testing methods and standards while maintaining reliability programs.\nSupport occasional travel and evening or weekend work as needed.\nDevelop 3‑D models and detailed technical drawings for tools, jigs, and fixtures using CAD software such as ANSYS and SolidWorks.\nConduct structural, thermal, and fatigue analysis to validate designs and predict failure points before fabrication.\nOptimize tool designs for cost‑effectiveness, safety, and ease of fabrication.\nCollaborate with manufacturing teams to test tools and update designs based on performance feedback.\nPrepare technical reports, GD&T specifications, and stress analysis documentation.\nLead internal design activities for new and/or improved test fixtures and equipment.\nEnsure test equipment and devices are in good working order.\nCreate and maintain databases for tracking tool and fixture design and build activities.\nStudy product characteristics or customer requirements to determine validation objectives and standards.\nPrepare validation/performance qualification protocols for manufacturing processes, systems, or equipment.\nDevelop product testing methods and standards.\nDevelop validation master plans, process flow diagrams, test cases, and standard operating procedures.\nPerform measurement and inspection metrology on parts and assemblies.\nConduct mechanical/structural load testing of solar tracker components in a laboratory setting.\nConduct accelerated lifetime testing of motors, drivelines, gearboxes, and related components.\nConduct validation or qualification tests of new or existing processes, equipment, and software.\nRecord data, log observations, and measurements of tests.\nAnalyze data records and prepare detailed reports or design statements.\nLead activities to optimize and drive the test engineering process for improved testing methods, plans, or procedures.\nSupport Product Development, Operations, Service, and Quality teams.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nQualifications Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, materials science & engineering, electrical engineering, quality, or manufacturing engineering.\n3+ years of experience utilizing FEA and DFMA analysis.\n3+ years of experience using 3D CAD software.\n3+ years of experience in tooling design, fixture design, or structural analysis in engineering environments.\n3+ years of experience with mechanical/structural testing, lifecycle & fatigue testing.\n3+ years of experience operating data logging sensors and acquisition equipment.\n3+ years of experience defining design validation tests.\n3+ years of experience in manufacturing environments.\n3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite.\nTravel, 5% to 10% field site testing.\nPreferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline.\nHighly creative and able to work on multiple projects concurrently.\nDeep understanding of GD&T, material properties, and manufacturing processes.\nInterest in product development.\nBackground in measurement, inspection & metrology.\nStrong communication and organizational skills.\nAbility to work independently as well as part of a team.\nEntry level experience in design of experiments, statistics, and equipment capability analysis.\nGeneral programming or data acquisition experience.\nAbility to work across multiple
