This position requires working as least one weekend day each week.\nThe Assistant Program Coordinators schedule would consist of up to 30 set scheduled hours per week of Direct Support Professional duties. This would include working directly with adult intellectual and developmental individuals on a day-to-day basis helping them with everyday life tasks.\nThe management duties would include up to 10 hours per week of helping the Program Coordinator (PC) with staff scheduling, training, paperwork, running errands, etc.\nThe Assistant Program Coordinator’s set schedule is Monday 3p-11p, Tuesday 2p-9p, Wednesday 5p-9p and Sunday 3p-11p = 27 hours per week plus 10 hours of Assistant Program Coordinator management duties flexed into each week for a total of 37 hours per week.\nThis is a set schedule however the schedule may change temporarily to meet the needs of the program as needed.\nWages and Raises:\nThe starting wage range is $19.62 to $24.07 per hour. Capped at $32.53 per hour.\nBenco offers raises every 6 months for the first 2 years and annually thereafter if the employee has not reached the cap for that position. Furthermore, offering the control to increase your wages as you complete each credentialing program if you have not reached the CAP for that position.\nQualifications:\nMust have a minimum of 6 months’ experience in the IDD (intellectual and developmental disabilities) field or at least two years college or an equivalent combination of experience and education. The duties may include but are not limited to: community orientation and inclusion; health care; social, recreational, vocational and educational programs. The APC also assists in behavior management, communicating and interacting with outside support services, friends and family. Assist the Program Coordinator in the operation of the program.\nREQUIREMENTS Education/Experience/Qualifications\nMust be at least 18 years of age with High School Diploma or G.E.D.\nMust have a minimum of six month’s experience with adults who have intellectual and/or developmental disabilities or two years of college or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nWillingness to complete a background check.\nMust provide a minimum of one work reference and at least one unrelated personal reference, however Benco would prefer two work references.\nMust have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.\nTRAINING\nComplete pre-service hiring orientation.\nSuccessfully complete the State Core Competency online training within 30 days of hire date.\nSuccessfully complete CPR/First Aid training within 30 days of hire date or show proof of current cards at time of hire and maintain current certification.\nSuccessfully complete OIS training within 30 days of hire date.\nParticipate in a minimum of 12 hours training annually.\nDUTIES\nAssist the Program Coordinator with routine program operations.\nAssist the Program Coordinator with employee disciplinary action as needed.\nCarry the emergency cell phone as scheduled.\nAssume the duties of Program Coordinator when supervisor is not available.\nPositive teamwork with co-workers and organization.\nPositive, cooperative relationships with outside agencies.\nRead all policies and procedures, review new and revised policies as needed.\nRespect resident rights and assure they are met.\nAssist/encourage residents in all aspects of active involvement in their home.\nAssist residents with family and personal contacts.\nAssist residents in the purchase and upkeep of personal belongings.\nAssist/encourage resident involvement in community activities.\nAssist residents with appointments as needed. (Medical, community, job based, etc.)\nAssure that the resident’s nutritional needs are met. (Well-balanced meals, follow special diet recommendations, doctor’s orders and menus.)\nAssure that a safe home environment is maintained at all times.\nMaintain an environment that promotes maximum growth and independence for residents.\nAssure compliance with emergency procedure requirements. (Fire drills, emergency policy/phone numbers, etc.)\nAssure compliance with regulatory guidelines such as: OSHA, OAR’s & worker’s compensation.\nAssure that resident confidentiality is maintained.\nInitiate resident involvement in activities.\nAssist residents in all areas of personal hygiene as needed.\nAdminister and handle medication according to policy and OAR’s.\nDocument all behavior programs and tracking forms.\nRead all log entries daily. (Medication, T-Logs, behavior logs, etc.)\nDocument all resident training programs.\nAccurately spend and account for program finances.\nAccurately spend and account for resident purchases.\nKeep resident money safeguarded at all times.\nComplete and turn in all reports required at specific time due.
