NORAD is a United States and Canada bi-national organization charged with the missions of aerospace warning, aerospace control and maritime warning for North America. Aerospace warning includes the detection, validation, and warning of attack against North America whether by aircraft, missiles, or space vehicles, through mutual support arrangements with other commands.\n\nJob Responsibilities:\n\nWork closely with software development teams and platform engineers to enable software developers to continuously deliver value, while exceeding customer needs for stability and security of mission critical services and environments.\nKnowledge of automation of application containerization via CI/CD pipelines, and orchestration of containers in a Kubernetes environment.\nHelp improve the development workflow and developer quality of life, as well as overall security and stability of Kubernetes clusters.\nHave experience developing and integrating full-stack applications and familiarity with containerization technology.\nHave experience working with Kubernetes and experience working with containerized and/or cloud platforms and implementing DevSecOps practices\nRequirements:\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\nMust have or obtain within 60 days of start date an IAT Level II Certification (Security+ CE or equivalent)\nMust have 3 years or more of directly related experience\nMust have 3 years or more of general work experience\nMust have a deep understanding of Kubernetes, including provisioning and application deployment/scaling\nExperience securing a Kubernetes environment\nMust have an understanding of application containerization (Docker)\nExperience with shell scripting (such as bash\nExperience creating multistage CI/CD pipelines to automate aspects of the software development lifecycle, using tools such as Atlassian Bamboo\nMust have an understanding of microservice architecture\nMust be a U.S. Citizen.\nMust have and be capable of maintaining a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance at the required level.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nExcellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills\nExcellent written communication and technical writing skills\nBS degree in STEM related discipline\nExperience developing, integrating, and maintaining full-stack applications\nExperience developing application front-ends using React or other JavaScript-based web frameworks\nExperience with JavaScript / Typescript / React project management tools, such as npm or yarn\nExperience creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) within a DevSecOps pipeline\nExperience utilizing Static Code Analysis (SCA) tools and adjudicating vulnerabilities\nExperience using JPA for object persistence\nExperience working with Apache Kafka and RabbitMQ\nExperience migrating monolithic applications to a microservices architecture\nExperience working on CCIC2S applications\n\nTo Apply for this Position:\n\nYou must have the Minimum Qualifications in your resume to be selected as a candidate.\n\nThe salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
