Assistant Project Manager

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate has Procore software experience, will play a crucial role in overseeing construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all aspects of the project are executed efficiently and effectively. This position requires a strong foundation in project management principles, as well as familiarity with construction processes. Responsibilities Support project planning, scheduling, and execution Compilation of RFI's, change orders, and pay applications. Coordination between the field personnel, the PM and the general contractor. Compilation and review of pre-construction documents including COI's and contracts under the direction of the PM. Periodic travel to projects outside the Kansas City area. Safety coordination and inspection, arranging for certifications and assisting with compliance on the Kansas City regional projects. Daily management of the Kansas City office under the direction of the PM. Assist with procurement tracking and delivery coordination Maintain accurate records of project data and reports Collaborate with field supervisors, subcontractors, and vendors Attend project meetings and assist with progress reporting Identify and communicate potential project risks or delays * Experience A background in construction management or a related field is preferred. (preferred in steel erection or commercial projects) Familiarity with construction site operations and processes is essential for success in this role. Excellent time management skills. Proficiency in project management tools such as Procore, Prolog, or similar software Basic knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and budgeting Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and project management tools Effective communication within the team.
