Performs all clerical tasks associated with releasing a job into the shop. This includes c\nCreates job folders.\nGenerates the shop drawings.\nGroups the shop drawings by work center.\nBatches jobs and creates cutting reports.\nSimultaneously creates the automated saw files and projection fabrication files.\nReleases job to production team.\nUpdates scheduling status.\nEdits work order in On-Line Software for shop labor totals.\nRetrieves built information from shop after fabrication.\nCloses production files.\nPerforms any other routine tasks associated with the production department.\nOther duties as assigned.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES\nThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 18 months of truss fabrication experience.\nCOMPETENCIES\nCommunication - Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with both Shop employees and the Production Management Team.\nTechnical Skills – Demonstrates thorough understanding of Truss Manufacturing Process.\nComputer Skills - Potential to develop basic computer skills\nAdministrative Skills - Must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL ACTIVITY\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
