Also responsible for coaching and mentoring all direct reports to ensure effective employee development.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nGreet customers entering the store & provide friendly customer service\n\nGuide and direct customers to appropriate menu items of interest and answer related inquiries\n\nEnsure accuracy of all guest orders by maintaining expert knowledge of Point‑of‑Sale (POS) system(s)\n\nPossess thorough and accurate knowledge of menu items and specials\n\nProvide technical training and support to less experienced cafe staff and model professionalism with guests and other employees at all times\n\nAccurately total, process and collect payments from guests, including handling money, processing credit/debit cards, and making change\n\nRestock and maintain displays, labeling correctly as needed, per company standards\n\nParticipate in closing and opening procedures\n\nParticipate in daily cleaning/maintenance duties\n\nContribute to a positive environment where all employees trust and respect each other\n\nPosition Requirements\n\nPossess ServSafe Manager Certification\n\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail\n\nExcellent communication skills to interact positively with others\n\nAbility to multi‑task and perform well under pressure\n\nPossess strong leadership and managerial skills, including the ability to coach, develop and clearly communicate expectations\n\nDependable – always on time and on schedule\n\nIntermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office and familiarity with POS systems\n\nSelf‑motivated with the ability to perform with the highest professional and ethical standards\n\nMajority of shift spent on feet in a fast‑paced environment, in close proximity to others\n\nAble to lift frequently up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.; position involves frequent bending, twisting, lifting and squatting and up to eight hours per day on feet in a fast‑paced environment\n\nEducation and Experience\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Hospitality, Culinary or related field is preferred. Experience: Minimum five years F& B management experience; POS experience.
