If this sparks your interest, you're in the right place.\nDLR Group has an opening for a Structural Engineer.\nPosition Summary:\nAs a Structural Engineer/Structural Designer at DLR Group you will be responsible for the design of structural systems from schematics through construction administration on a wide range of new and existing building types. We rely on all our employee-owners to apply their financial acumen to grow the Firm profitably.\nThe successful candidate will:\nDevelop structural designs from concept through completion of construction for new and existing building types.\nPrepare engineering design calculations and structural system layouts\nPrepare detailed engineering reports and narratives\nAct as a Structural Engineer-Of-Record (SEOR)\nCoordinate structural design with architecture, MEP and other disciplines\nProduce construction documents using Revit\nWrite and review specifications\nReview shop drawings, RFIs and submittals\nConduct site visits when needed\nCollaborate with architects, other engineers, and clients as part of our integrated design process\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Civil/Structural or Architectural/Structural Engineering\nLicensed Structural Engineer (SE) in the state of Illinois.\n7+ years of new and existing buildings structural engineering experience, including the design of concrete, masonry, steel, wood materials; gravity and lateral systems\nWorking knowledge of current structural software (ETABS, SAP, SAFE, RAM, ADAPT, RISA, Enercalc)\nGoal oriented with strong skills in problem solving, creativity, and attention to detail\nUnderstanding of commercial building materials, systems, and assemblies\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMaster's degree in Civil/Structural or Architectural/Structural Engineering\nExperience and interest in sustainable building design\nExperience with BIM including Autodesk Revit workflow\nLicensed Professional Engineer (PE)\nDLR Group is an integrated design firm delivering architecture, engineering, interiors, planning, and building optimization for new builds, renovations, and adaptive reuse projects.\nWe are 100% employee-owned: every employee is literally invested in our clients' success.
