The SQL Database Administrator provides comprehensive database management support related to the global customer IT environment.\n\nResponsibilties:\n\nThis position provides Tier II support for all databases and Tier III for all SQL databases, including the Customer Consolidated Database (CCD) and related databases, as well as databases supporting both legacy and modernized client/server and web-based applications.\nYou will support modernized databases and assist with modernization initiatives.\nThe SQL Database Administrator will conduct proactive and reactive monitoring, responding to incidents and alerts generated by database monitoring software integrated within the Enterprise Event Management and Monitoring capability.\nYou will also conduct manual maintenance, deployment, diagnostic health checks, validation, and reporting processes shall be automated, whenever feasible.\nThe SQL Database Administrator will perform routine database tuning, generate performance/usage reports, and apply DoS-authorized patches.\nYou will execute and validate scheduled onsite/offsite backups and restores.\nAdditionally, you will support integration of database service with partner agencies and internal applications, including managing middleware and messaging queues (e.g., Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) based Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) infrastructure).\nThis role requires that you manage physical and virtual infrastructure supporting databases in accordance with Government security and emergency protocols.\n\nQualifications:\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE\nThe following are the education and experience required for this position:\n5+ years\nBachelor's in IT or related field\nMicrosoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate\nSecret Security Clearance\n\nPREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:\nComp TIA Sec+, ITIL 4 Foundation Certification(s)\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nThis position requires the ability to perform the below essential functions:\nSitting for long periods\nStanding for long periods\nAmbulate throughout an office\nAmbulate between several buildings\nStoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required\nRepeatedly lift and carry weight up to 40 pounds\nTravel by land or air transportation 10 % .\nAbout Empower AI:\nAll hiring and promotion decisions at Empower AI are based on merit to bring the best talent available to contribute to our firm’s overall success.
