Salary commensurate with experience*Overview:Location: Albany, NYSalary: $100,000 - $110,000We are seeking an Java / Websphere Consultant who will support our client. This role will support the administration, integration, and ongoing stability of enterprise middleware platforms, with a focus on IBM WebSphere, App Connect Enterprise, and InfoSphere MDM in secure Linux-based environments. The selected candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining integrations and APIs, supporting deployments and upgrades, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring reliable connectivity across business-critical systems.Duties:  Administer and support IBM WebSphere, App Connect Enterprise, and InfoSphere MDM. Deploy, configure, and maintain middleware environments.Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis.Manage middleware platforms on RHEL/Linux.Perform patching, security hardening, and system maintenance.Support Experian Address Validation, Symantec, OpenText Exstream, and Java APIs.Ensure secure integrations and connectivity between systems.Support releases, upgrades, and production deployments.Maintain technical documentation and runbooks.Provide production and on-call support.Mandatory Qualifications:Associates degree or combination of experience and education.3+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying integration flows using IBM App Connect Enterprise1+ year of experience working in enterprise or government systems3+ years of demonstrated experience with the following skills:IBM WebSphereIBM InfoSphere MDMJava/J2EEProficiency in developing, testing, and maintaining RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, and event-driven architectures, including handling data formats/ transformation such as CSV, XML, JSON, and EDI Strong knowledge of current web security standards (e.g., WSSE, OIDC, OAuth, JWT) and ensuring compliance in integration solutionsProven ability to collaborate effectively with architects, technical leads, and cross-functional teams (including Functional, Infrastructure, QA, and DevOps) to review and optimize integration architectures Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda and secure file transfer via AWS Transfer Family; working knowledge of Amazon S3 and API GatewayExperience troubleshooting and resolving complex integration issues across development, test, and production environmentsAbility to write clear, detailed, and maintainable technical documentationExperience supporting third-party enterprise toolsUnderstanding of SSL, certificates, and security configurationIBM certificationsITIL/ITSM knowledgeCloud and Things complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding recruitment and hiring.
