In this role, you will support a large electric utility client in the Pacific Northwestern US. This is an in-office position based out of either Portland, Bend or Medford, OR, depending on the location of the selected candidate. As the project controller, you'll play a key role in driving creative Project Management Solutions for Leidos' utility client, working closely with Telecommunications and SCADA Project Managers to create and maintain project forecasts, track project materials, complete project accruals, track project spends and financials and be an integral member of the client's project delivery team.\r\nAs a Leidos employee, you can look forward to a collaborative culture, as well as managers who will encourage career development and growth opportunities , including:\r\nProject Management Professional (PMP)\r\nFormal Mentorship programs\r\nDevelopmental Leadership training\r\nTechnical Upskilling Opportunities\r\nManagement opportunities\r\nThis role will have a targeted focus on supporting our client Telecommunications/ SCADA Project Management Office (PMO) team.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nDeveloping, monitoring and maintaining engineering and construction project budgets for various sized projects for public-owned and investor-owned electric utilities\r\nWork with Project Management teams using earned value management techniques to ensure that forecasts and costs are aligned, including the development of recovery plans, to stay within approved limits\r\nPartner closely with Project Managers, Engineering Leads, Managers, and other client stakeholders to track and execute client deliverables\r\nSupporting project teams with material tracking\r\nDevelop and produce schedule weekly/monthly project control reports for client and internal management review: which includes resource loading analysis and schedules, critical path items and risk analysis\r\nInterfacing directly with the client on a daily basis to report progress, schedule and risks across a portfolio of electric utility projects\r\nAssist project managers with the creation and maintenance of comprehensive project dashboard reports and KPI tracking\r\nReview, interpret, and provide inputs to project schedules and identify risks\r\nRequired Qualifications\r\nMid-Level: 4-7 years of relevant project controls experience\r\nSenior-Level: 7-10 years of relevant project controls experience (Pay ranges will be commensurate with candidate experience)\r\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or a closely related discipline is required\r\nDemonstrated experience managing and reporting project financial performance, budgets and cost controls\r\nMust have the capability to plan, organize, direct, and track technical efforts on project tasks\r\nAbility to work effectively in a team environment\r\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\r\nMust be able to interact with customer representatives in an effective manner\r\nExcellent organizational and problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task effectively\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\nFamiliarity with electric power infrastructure projects and knowledge of business issues associated with power delivery services\r\nExperience working with US electric utilities\r\nDemonstrated success with a team approach to the consulting business\r\nPay Range\r\nPay Range $82,550.00 - $149,225.00\r\nPay and Benefits\r\nPay and benefits are fundamental to any career decision.
