Communicate problem issues to the appropriate department\nEvaluate prototypes and recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions\nSeek feedback from testing and various generational prototype phases and incorporate the findings and change orders into upgraded designs.\nEnsure efforts follow compliance with regulatory requirements\nAdhere to the production schedule, prioritize diverse assignments, and meet assigned deadlines\nStrive to continuously innovate existing processes to increase throughput, reduce scrap, decrease costs, and improve quality\nParticipate in the plastic injection molding and mold layout processes\nResolve engineering problems that develop during the manufacture, test, or use of the product.\nReview and act on Engineering change requests received from customers or manufacturing\nAssist sales and marketing with layout?and concept drawings.\nProduce potential design solutions that meet cost quality and performance requirements for all projects based on specialized knowledge of engineering applications\nAssist in assembly and lab testing of prototypes\n\nEDUCATION\nREQUIRED:\nAssociate degree in Mechanical or Design Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience\nPREFERRED:\nBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Design Engineering\nEXPERIENCE AND SKILL\nREQUIRED:\nMinimum of 7 years of CAD Designer experience\nLean Manufacturing experience\nCutter path verification experience\nKnowledge of plastics and plastic mold interaction\nProficiency with SolidWorks, Master-Cam, CNC/NC, and CAD/CAM software\nThe ability to work with mathematical concepts such as portability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
