A qualified candidate must have relevant experience working for a multi-faceted organization, possess strong technical accounting skills, excellent knowledge of GAAP and be willing to take a hands-on approach. The Controller contributes to the overall success of the organization by effectively managing the day-to-day tasks within the accounting department. This position reports to the VP of Finance, and will work in the Ashburn, VA office.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nResponsibilities\nEnsure monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements are prepare in accordance with U.S. GAAP\nExecute month end procedures in order to produce financial and management reports\nLead general ledger accounting function for multiple subsidiaries\nManage accounts receivable function and personnel including: customer billing, sales tax/VAT compliance and reporting and cash collection forecasts\nCoordinate and complete annual financial statement audit\nPerform revenue recognition procedures within NetSuite ERP\nEnsure compliance of financial policies and procedures\nQUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, required\n10+ years of general accounting, with experience supervising people\nCertified Public Accountant (CPA), required\nStrong knowledge of GAAP and technical accounting issues, including revenue recognition\nExperience in NetSuite or similar ERP.\nStrong Excel and reporting skills\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nThis is a full-time salaried position.
