{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"308cdf2162b09b24ccf8a225","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/308cdf2162b09b24ccf8a225","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/308cdf2162b09b24ccf8a225","title":"Data Engineer","description":"Data Engineer (86500) Belfast, Northern Ireland\r\nOpen Day Rate (DOE)\r\nBelfast\r\nContract\r\nWe are looking for experienced Data Engineers to join a growing programme supporting retail and hospitality environments across Belfast.\r\nThis is a field-based role, initially focused on service calls and site surveys, with larger rollout projects planned later in the year.\r\nThe Role\r\nYou will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and deploying a range of in-store technologies across multiple client sites.\r\nWork Will Include\r\nService calls and reactive support\r\nSite surveys and diagnostics\r\nHardware and system troubleshooting\r\nSupporting upcoming rollout projects\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nAttend and complete service calls and site surveys.\r\nInstall, support and troubleshoot headsets & base stations, self-service kiosks.\r\nDiagnose and resolve on-site technical issues.\r\nEnsure systems are fully operational and configured correctly.\r\nSupport data capture and reporting from field devices.\r\nAssist with rollouts and deployments later in the year.\r\nKey Skills\r\nExperience in field engineering / IT support / EPOS environments.\r\nHands-on experience with POS, kiosks, or similar retail tech.\r\nStrong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.\r\nComfortable working in client-facing, on-site environments.\r\nAbility to work independently and manage workload.\r\nExposure to data engineering or data handling.\r\nBasic knowledge of SQL, databases, and system integrations.\r\nExperience within retail or hospitality environments.\r\nRequirements\r\nMust be based in or around Belfast.\r\nMust be able to start quickly.\r\nWillingness to travel to London for training (expenses paid).\r\nWhat You Get In Return\r\nOpen day rate (DOE).\r\nLong-term pipeline of work (service to rollout phases).\r\nOpportunity to be part of a scaling engineering team.\r\nExpenses-covered training.\r\nThis company is an equal-opportunity employer and values diversity.
