Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.Supervisory and Managerial Responsibility• Supervisory/managerial responsibility is not applicable.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesEducation, Licensure or Certification:• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experienceWork Experience or Related Experience5+years of experience in data visualization or BI developmentExperience in one or more visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, Looker)Strong proficiency in SQL and data modelingSpecialized Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesExperience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) and web technologies (e.g, JavaScript, HTML, CSS) is a plusExcellent communication and storytelling skills to convey data insights effectivelyAdvanced proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis across large, complex datasets preferred.Hands-on expertise with Snowflake: data modeling, performance tuning, and working with semi- structured data (e.g., JSON, XML) is a plusFamiliarity with ETL/ELT pipelines and orchestration tools like SSIS, Apache Airflow, or Azure Data Factory preferredUnderstanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and best practices for scalable analytics preferredExperience integrating visualization tools with cloud-based data sources and APIs preferredKnowledge of data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments preferredFamiliarity with Agile development methodologies is a plusKnowledge of UX/UI principles in dashboard design is preferredAbility to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyTravel Requirements and Conditions• Travel is not typically required for this positionWork Environment, Conditions and Demands• Work is generally performed in an office environment or remote setting in which there is only minimal exposure to unpleasant and/or hazardous working conditions.Physical Requirements and DemandsNote: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions as described.• Work requires normal range of hearing and eyesight. Incumbent must be able to use a telephone or head set equipment and operate a keyboard and other office equipment. The ability to perform work at a computer terminal for 6-8 hours a day and function in an environment with constant interruptions isrequired. At times, incumbents are subject to sitting for prolonged periods. Infrequently, incumbent must be able to lift and move material weighing up to 20 lbs.
