Year Round Engineering","description":"General Atomics (GA), and its affiliated companies, is one of the world’s leading resources for high-technology systems development ranging from the nuclear fuel cycle to remotely piloted aircraft, airborne sensors, and advanced electric, electronic, wireless and laser technologies.\n\nWe have an exciting opportunity for an Undergraduate Intern with a field of study in Engineering to join our Electromagnetic Systems team in Herndon, Virginia!\n\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nUnder general supervision, participates in the day-to-day activities of assigned functional area assisting in the completion of routine and non-routine tasks.\nAssists in applying knowledge to analyze, investigate and resolve problems.\nAssists in developing electronic and hard copy reports, records, diagrams and charts.\nResponsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.\nExpected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.\n\nWe recognize and appreciate the value and contributions of individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences and welcome all qualified individuals to apply.\n\nJob Qualifications\nDesired Skills: Engineering.\nRequires active enrollment and currently attending as an undergraduate student at a recognized college or university.\nApplicants who will have completed their undergraduate degree by the time the internship program would begin, must be planning to continue in a graduate program immediately following the conclusion of the internship program.\n3.0 cumulative GPA preferred\nAbility to understand new concepts and apply them accurately.\nAbility to follow general and detailed instructions as well as organizational policies and procedures.\nBasic communication and interpersonal skills to enable effective interface with internal professionals.\nAbility to work independently or in a team environment.\nBasic computer skills.\nThis position pays at an hourly rate of $29.00 -
