TST Fab and Machine is seeking an experienced and skilled Weld Trainer to join our team. The Weld Trainer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and delivering comprehensive training programs for new and existing welders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding techniques, safety protocols, and a passion for teaching and mentoring others.

Responsibilities
Develop and deliver training programs for welders, focusing on various welding techniques, safety practices, and equipment operation.
Assess the skill levels of trainees and provide customized training to meet individual needs and skill gaps.
Conduct hands-on training sessions, demonstrations, and practical exercises to ensure trainees achieve proficiency in welding.
Monitor and evaluate trainee progress, providing constructive feedback and additional training as needed.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of welding technology, techniques, and industry standards.
Ensure all training materials and methods comply with industry regulations and safety standards.
Collaborate with the production team to understand specific welding requirements and incorporate them into training programs.
Assist in the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within the welding department.
Maintain accurate records of training activities, trainee progress, and certification statuses.
Provide support and guidance to welders on the production floor as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certifications in welding preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of welding experience, with a strong understanding of various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG).
Previous experience as a welding instructor or trainer is highly desirable.
High production volume fabrication
NAVSEA welding experience is required.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong knowledge of welding safety practices and regulations.
Ability to assess and adapt to different learning styles and skill levels
Proficient in using welding equipment and tools.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
