This team engages thought leaders across endocrinology, diabetology, cardiology, nephrology, radiology, endocrine surgery, and other specialties to advance disease-state awareness, scientific education, and clinical insight generation.The Director partners extensively with Key Account Managers (KAMs), Clinical Specialists (CSs), Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs), Marketing, Field Medical, and Medical Affairs to ensure coordinated execution, consistent scientific engagement, and strong alignment with organizational priorities.Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership & Team DevelopmentLead, coach, and develop a high-performing national TLL team grounded in scientific excellence and collaborationEstablish strategic priorities, objectives, and KPIs aligned to corporate goalsStrengthen capabilities in scientific exchange, KOL engagement, insight capture, meeting facilitation, and peer-level clinical discussionEnsure consistent field standards and best practicesNational Thought-Leader Strategy & Cross-Functional AlignmentDesign and implement Corcept’s national thought-leader engagement strategy across multiple specialtiesPartner closely with KAMs, CSs, MSLs, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Clinical Development, and Field Medical to ensure alignment of field activitiesIntegrate TLL insights into broader internal planning and cross-functional strategy developmentScientific Exchange & Product EducationEnsure TLLs conduct scientifically meaningful, evidence-based discussions with thought leadersOversee readiness for discussions covering disease-state fundamentals, cortisol biology, clinical trends, and the mechanism and FDA-approved use of KorlymEnsure TLLs appropriately triage advanced inquiries to internal experts as neededSpeaker & Advisor StrategyLead national strategy for identification, evaluation, and development of external speakers and advisorsOversee TLL nomination of potential speakers and ensure nominations reflect scientific expertise and strategic valuePartner with Marketing and Medical Affairs on scientific content, speaker development, and training initiativesThought Leadership Initiatives & Scientific EventsDirect planning and execution of advisory boards, scientific roundtables, symposia, and webinarsOversee TLL presence and coordinated engagement at national and regional congressesDevelop frameworks for engaging emerging and established thought leadersInsights Generation & Strategic RecommendationsEnsure timely, accurate insight capture using approved systems (e.g., SteepRock OLMS)Aggregate themes and deliver actionable recommendations for internal stakeholdersIdentify emerging opportunities and unmet needs in screening, diagnosis, and clinical practiceOperational Excellence & ComplianceMaintain consistent reporting, planning processes, CRM documentation, and field activity standardsManage departmental budget, talent acquisition, onboarding, and ongoing professional developmentEnsure alignment with internal policies and external regulatory guidancePreferred Skills, Qualifications and Technical Proficiencies:Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional environments with Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Market AccessExpertise in speaker bureau development, advisory boards, or scientific education initiativesStrong insight-generation and strategic thinking capabilitiesAbility to travel 50–60%Preferred Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree; advanced scientific or healthcare degree strongly preferred10–15+ years of experience in pharmaceuticals or biotech, with 5+ years leading field-based scientific or thought-leader engagement teamsStrong experience in endocrinology, cardiometabolic disease, or related specialtiesExperience in rare disease or specialty careThe pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position is $191,100 - $253,000; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on legitimate considerations, including geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education.Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.For information on how Corcept collects, uses, discloses, protects, and otherwise processes personal information and an explanation of the rights and choices available to you with respect to your personal information, please refer to our Privacy Notice link.Corcept appreciates the commitment and hard work of all our team members as we strive to discover and develop novel treatments for patients with serious unmet medical needs.Please visit our website at: https://www.corcept.com/Corcept is an Equal Opportunity EmployerCorcept will not conduct interviews via text message or messaging platforms and will not ask you to download anything as part of your interview.
