You’ll collaborate with mentors and experienced engineers to contribute to mission-critical systems. This internship offers hands-on experience across the systems engineering lifecycle and exposure to cutting-edge technologies.\n\nWhat You’ll Gain\n\nDuring this internship, you’ll gain hands-on experience across the full Systems Engineering lifecycle. You’ll work closely with mentors who will guide your professional growth, collaborate with experienced engineers on mission-critical projects, and learn best practices for building and integrating complex systems. This is an opportunity to make a tangible impact while developing skills that set you apart in the engineering field.\n\nResponsibilities\nAssist with requirements development, design, implementation, and test activities for mission-critical systems\nAssist in creating documentation, workflows, and integration plans\nParticipate in brainstorming sessions to turn new ideas into reality\nSupport system design, integration, and testing activities as needed\nQualifications\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills\nAbility to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences\nDesired Skills\n\nThis internship is designed to help you learn. Prior experience in all areas is not expected.\n\nFamiliarity with Systems Engineering principles\nProgramming experience (Python or similar)\nInterest in Earth science or space systems\nExperience with collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence\nSpecial Requirements\n\nThree years of continuous residency in the US for issuance of a Government Security credential. The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a national agency check and background investigation after hiring to obtain a badge for government facility access and user account.
