Tahquamenon Falls State Park is known as both the largest waterfalls on the Tahquamenon River in Michigan, as well as the eastern half of North America. This spectacular series of cascading waterfalls engulfs an island and eventually merges into Lake Superior. Breathtaking views can be captured from the riverbank, from one of our rented boats, or from the newly designed walk bridge that leads over to the island.Responsibilities:Greet customers within 30 seconds of entering the store & provide friendly customer serviceAchieve and maintain product knowledge to assist customers with purchasing decisionsGuide and direct customers to appropriate products of interest and answer related inquiriesAssist customers with all park related inquiries (utilizing approved NPS interpretive information)Assist customers making selections by building customer confidence; offering suggestions and opinionsAccurately total, process and collect payments from guests to include, but not limited to, using the point of sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards and making changeRestock and maintain displays (labeling correctly as needed) per Company standardsAchieve established sales goalsParticipate in closing, opening proceduresParticipate in daily cleaning/maintenance dutiesPosition Requirements:Strong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent communication skills to interact positively with othersAbility to multi-task and perform well under pressureDisplay energy and enthusiasm when working with customers and fellow AssociatesDependable to always be on time and on scheduleAble to lift frequently up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
