(GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.\n\nWe are currently looking for a Software Engineer (C++ 17, Linux) with a degree in CS or CE to join our Mission Processing Software team group within our Mission Software Development Group in Poway, CA. As a Software Engineer for GA-ASI, you will research, design, develop and/or modify enterprise-wide end–user, system level, and data management software applications that correlate directly to the technologies that are integrated into our Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS).\n\nDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:\nDesign and develop C++ 17 infrastructure and services for both high-level non-embedded (x86) and low-level embedded ARM 9 systems.\nUse Petalinux build tools and Xilinx tools for ARM 9 systems\nResponsible for automated unit testing, integration testing, software maintenance, and documentation and meeting software quality and compliance standards.\nEvaluates and integrate software applications with the overall computing environment.\nCommunicates with domain experts, users, and management throughout the software development lifecycle.\nContributes to planning of application development and deployment.\nPerforms other duties as assigned or required.\nMaintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.\nAbility to work extended hours as required\nResponsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.\nExpected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.\nWe recognize and appreciate the value and contributions of individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences and welcome all qualified individuals to apply.\n\nJob Qualifications\nTypically requires a bachelors or masters degree in computer science, information systems or related discipline and two or more years progressive software development experience with a bachelors degree. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
