This paid internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in electrical systems, system design, and project execution within a dynamic engineering environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, familiarity with CAD tools, and an interest in cutting-edge technologies such as FPGA, SoC, and quantum engineering. This role provides exposure to various aspects of electrical and mechanical integration, firmware development, and manufacturing processes.\nResponsibilities\nAssist in preparing detailed electrical designs and schematics for commercial and industrial facilities.\nAssist in develop interconnection and distribution plans for Medium Voltage systems.- Create technical reports, documentation, calculations, and sketches.\nAssist in designing and prepare drawings for electrical distribution and lighting systems.\nAssist in developing project specifications and support equipment selection.\nAssist in performing engineering studies for system analysis (short circuit, protection coordination, arc flash, etc.).\nAssist in preparing designs and calculations for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Solar PV systems, and microgrid arrangements.\nEnsure compliance with relevant electrical codes and industry standards/regulations.\nAssist in coordinating and liaising with approving authorities and clients, incorporating feedback into designs.\nAssist in liaising with utilities and relevant authorities to support the grid interconnection process.\nConduct site visits as needed.\nPerform Power Quality Analysis.\nAssist in research and design Microgrid systems and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).\nAssist in designing solar power systems with inverter systems.\nConduct engineering studies (short circuit, coordination, arc flash, etc.).\nAssist customers with the grid interconnection process.\nAssist with Medium Voltage design.\nAssist with Battery calculations.\nQualifications\nEnrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering Program on 3rd year level.\nFamiliarity with ETAP, SKM, AUTO CAD, MICROSOFT OFFICE.\nHands-on experience with soldering (surface mount technology), firmware development, debugging tools like ohmmeters or vision inspection systems is a plus.\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis on electrical issues.\nExcellent problem-solving skills with a keen interest in quantum engineering or signal processing are beneficial.\nAbility to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
