The Community Integration Counselor (CIC) is responsible for assisting individuals with learning physical, intellectual, emotional, and social life skills. The Community Integration Counselor provides individualized services designed to assist participants in managing and overcoming the difficulties confronted when living in the community.\n\nStarting pay is $17.00/per hour\n\nResponsibilities\n\nSupport and encourage individuals to increase their ability to be as independent as possible\nMeet with waiver participants on a regular basis either in the individual’s residence, the community, or an office setting\nProvide ongoing support for community integration efforts\nDocument individual progress toward acquiring community integration\nAssist in building a support network between the individual and the community\nAdminister medications and ensure proper completion of necessary documentation\nCoordinate all leisure and volunteer opportunities\nMonitor the health and medical needs of individuals and immediately report any concerns\nDrive individuals to medical appointments and activities in the community\nEnsure program documentation and billable records are completed accurately and timely\nAdditional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned\nEmployee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation\n\nMinimum Requirements\n\nHigh school diploma or GED, Bachelor’s degree preferred\nValid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record\nMinimum of two years of relevant experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities\nAbility to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports\nEmployment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing\n\nWhy Community Options?\nCompetitive Insurance Options (Medical, Dental, Vision)\nPaid Holidays—Including a Birthday Holiday!\nGenerous Paid Time Off (PTO)\nEmployee Incentive & Discount Programs\n403b Retirement Plan\nExceptional Career Growth Opportunities\nGreat coworkers/team that support you!\nUniversity partnerships that include tuition reduction\n\nPlease Visit Our Website to Complete an Online Application!
