Role Description The Metro Transit TRSS (Transit Response Safety & Support) Program Manager will oversee the delivery of unarmed crisis response services for the Metro Transit system in the Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul Area. Day-to-day tasks include managing program operations, ensuring proper staffing, coordinating with Metro Transit and community partners, and monitoring program outcomes for quality improvement. This full-time, on-site role requires strategic planning, team management, and ongoing collaboration with diverse stakeholders to promote safety and provide effective crisis response services. Qualifications Program Management: Experience leading and managing programs, including budgeting, reporting, and project evaluation.Team Leadership: Skills in staff supervision, team-building, and fostering an inclusive, collaborative work environment.Crisis Response Expertise: Strong background in crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and de-escalation strategies.Stakeholder Collaboration: Experience working with community organizations, local government, and agencies to build partnerships and align objectives.Critical Communication Skills: Proficiency in written and verbal communication for reports, presentations, and stakeholder engagement.Problem-Solving and Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and design creative solutions to complex challenges.Knowledge of Mental Health and Social Services: Familiarity with mental health, public safety, or social service programs is strongly preferred.Bachelor’s degree in social work, public administration, or relevant field; advanced degree is a plus.Experience working with diverse populations and demonstrated cultural competency.
