Production Assembler works on assemblies from simple to complex, with minimal supervision. The incumbent must have a good understanding of position’s duties and good understanding of the technical aspects of the position. The incumbent can recommend process and/or equipment improvement.Basic SkillsAbility to assemble, wire, and adjust precision unitsRead and write at High School Level in the English languageGood Judgment and problem solvingEven temperament in changing environment, results driven personalityWorks well with others in group or teamsCreativity and latitude is required for problem solvingJob RequirementsActively participates in Safety ProgramAdheres to all quality assurance proceduresAssist in meeting production requirementsWorks overtime as required (sometimes with minimal/short notice)Participates in process improvement activitiesFollows instructions of ManagementResponsible for release of new product into productionManage and meet project milestones related to the supply chainResponsible for operations programs requiring cross-functional involvementCoordinate the development and implementation of the MFS plan related to supply chain activitiesStrong interdepartmental working relationshipsWorks very closely with Supply Management team and ProductionOwnership of the manufacturing schedule for new products in the pre-release environment and developments of ramp-up plansEnsures optimum design for manufacturability and design of Supply Chain in new productsStrong technical expertise required in order to influence designs at the conceptual phaseAssist manager with make vs. buy decisions regarding materialsDevelopment of process documentationAssembly and test process development for integrity, compliance and efficiencyDrive improvement through shared practices and synergies with productionAny Other Duties And Responsibilities As NeededEDUCATIONHigh School diploma or GED equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred2-3 years’ experience in New Product Introduction or Project Management preferredMinimum Of 5-10 Years Of Electro-mechanical Assembly Experience RequiredHigh School diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Minimum of two years of electro-mechanical assembly experience preferred but not required.
