Job Title : Field Service Engineer – Medical Devices - Remote Location: Hartford, CT (Local Candidates Only)Travel: Up to 80% Domestic TravelNo Benefits Provided Position SummarySeeking a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and support medical device systems in healthcare and clinical environments. This role requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, hands-on mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently while traveling extensively.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, and commission medical device systems.Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and system upgrades.Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues.Maintain accurate service documentation and reports.Manage travel schedules, service calls, and customer communications.Submit expense reports and service records in a timely manner.Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.Provide professional customer support and technical assistance.Support continuous improvement and operational initiatives.QualificationsAssociate's Degree, Technical Degree, or equivalent experience.Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering preferred.Experience servicing medical devices or related equipment preferred.Strong troubleshooting, mechanical, and technical skills.Ability to read technical documentation and create service reports.Proficient with hand tools and mechanical assemblies.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to travel extensively and work overtime as needed.Preferred ExperienceMedical device field service or biomedical equipment support.Regulatory and quality system compliance experience.Technical writing and documentation skills.Experience supporting customers in healthcare environments.
