Life Coach
*Job Overview*
The successful Life Coach applicant will support and empower adults who have developmental disabilities and autism to spend their day in a lively, fast paced environment, with the primary goal of participating in, and providing fun and fulfilling activities.
This person must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s record, and the desire to bring joy to others. Experience in human service is preferred. The ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people is a must.
This position requires creativity, energy, enthusiasm, patience and flexibility. We are seeking a dedicated Life Skills Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism, providing essential support to help them lead fulfilling lives.
*Duties*
- Assist individuals with daily living activities (ADLs) and personal care tasks
- Implement behavior support plans and strategies
- Provide medication administration as required
- Provide opportunities to enhance social skills and interactions
- Support participants in community settings
- Engage in data collection to monitor progress and outcomes
*Preferred*
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism
- Proficiency in ADLs and medication administration preferred
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles and interventions
- Familiarity with data collection methods for tracking progress
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with peers, clients and their families
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
