In addition to driving, this role includes administrative duties such as handling paperwork, managing delivery manifests, and maintaining customer relations. The Distribution Driver plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of deliveries while upholding high standards of customer service and operational efficiency.\r\nDuties/Responsibilities:\r\nSafely operate a van or box truck to deliver products throughout the assigned state and in all weather conditions.\r\nConduct daily vehicle inspections and complete the DVIR log.\r\nAdhere to road rules and DOT regulations at all times.\r\nProtect company assets by following established cash handling guidelines.\r\nPromptly address delivery or customer concerns, reporting them to the Distribution Supervisor.\r\nEnsure all necessary paperwork and documentation are in order before departure.\r\nCommunicate effectively with customers, including pre-delivery calls and post-delivery updates.\r\nCollaborate with the Distribution and Sales teams to resolve any order-related issues.\r\nProvide exceptional customer service during each delivery.\r\nReview orders with customers to ensure product accuracy and handle any rejections.\r\nAccurately record customer payment details for each delivery.\r\nFollow safety standards and report any vehicle issues or accidents to the supervisor.\r\nEnsure all delivery manifests are signed, and compliance with regulations is maintained.\r\nRequired Skills/Abilities:\r\nMust have an in-state valid driver's license with a clean driving record and valid insurance.\r\nMust regularly provide proof of these documents.\r\nPositive and professional attitude with a strong sense of teamwork.\r\nHigh level of integrity, personal motivation, and sense of urgency.\r\nAbility to safely operate a delivery vehicle in various weather and traffic conditions.\r\nReliability and punctuality are critical to the role.\r\nAbility to learn and use new technology as needed.\r\nMust be eligible to work for any employer in the United States without sponsorship.\r\nEducation and Experience:\r\nMust be at least 21 years of age.\r\n1+ year of professional driving experience with box truck operation required.\r\nPhysical Requirements:\r\nMust be able to drive for up to 8 hours a day.\r\nMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs.\r\nDepending on location, must be able to pass a DOT physical.\r\nWork Schedule (Non-Exempt):\r\nThis position is scheduled on a full-time basis. Specific shift times and workdays are determined by the operation and may vary by location. Business needs may require work on evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as occasional overtime. Scheduled start and end times, assigned shifts, and workdays are subject to change based on staffing and operational requirements.
