Candidates with Appian or MarkLogic subject-matter expertise are strongly preferred.\nEstablished in 2001, CommIT is a Certified Veteran-Owned Small Business (CVOSB) providing technical engineering and data science services, including DoD GCSS-MC, CAC2S, TBMCS-MC, and VA telehealth, and offerings in acquisition management, systems engineering, Agile software development, cloud management, IT modernization, data analytics, cybersecurity, DevSecOps, automated testing, and mobile app development.\nResponsibilities Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance tools, systems, pipelines, and security posture.\nProvide customer-facing support for troubleshooting, incident response, and operational issues.\nPerform Linux server administration and system hardening.\nSupport network infrastructure components including BigIP F5, VPNs, firewalls, TCP/IP, DNS, and SFTP.\nManage and optimize cloud infrastructure in AWS (EC2, VPC, Lambda, S3, EFS, ECR/ECS, Route53, IAM, RDS, Autoscaling, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, etc.).\nBuild, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, Artifactory, Xray, Jira, and SonarQube.\nWrite, debug, and maintain code across compiled and scripted languages.\nImplement and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform.\nAutomate manual operational tasks using scripting and DevOps tooling.\nConduct system testing for security, performance, and availability.\nDevelop and maintain documentation for design, troubleshooting, and audit readiness.\nImplement security controls aligned with DoD, NIST, and industry best practices.\nParticipate in an after-hours on-call rotation to support customer environments.\nProvide audit support, including generating artifacts, evidence, and compliance documentation.\nServe as an SME for Appian or MarkLogic, supporting application deployments, troubleshooting, and customer inquiries.\nQualifications Required Experience and Education:\nMaster’s degree with 6 years of experience (or bachelor’s with 8 years) in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related IT discipline. Degree may be substituted with additional relevant industry experience and/or industry accepted training and certification.\nResponsible for developing the DevSecOps and CI/CD architecture of small systems or subsystems of a larger system. Select tools, technologies, and methodologies that support automated build, deploy, operation, and monitoring of systems. Coordinates across cross-functional teams to remove impediments to CI/CD to accelerate capability delivery and increase quality and reliability.
