We've built our reputation on innovation and reliable service, and we're known as the industry's experts.\nPosition Overview\nWe are seeking a detail-oriented Solutions Engineer with expertise in the low voltage physical security industry to join our Houston team. At Digi, our Solutions Engineers translate customer requirements into detailed, code-compliant, profitable low-voltage systems designs and provide the technical backbone to every sale. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of low voltage systems, particularly in CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection systems, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to apply technical knowledge to customer needs. This individual must have an expert background in the components of Access Control, CCTV, and Burglar/Intrusion Alarm Systems and at least five (5) years of experience working in the commercial security systems field.\nKey Responsibilities:\nSite Design and Technical Solutions:\nDevelop site-specific designs for low voltage electrical systems (access control, CCTV, intrusion, etc.), ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.\nCreate detailed technical drawings, layouts, and schematics that meet project requirements.\nPerform site walks to assess jobs in real-time and deliver accurate quotes.\nCollaborate with partners to understand site conditions and tailor designs accordingly.\nProject Opportunity Management:\nProvide product demonstrations, digital sales rooms, and walkthroughs via remote webinars and onsite presentations.\nEngage with partners early in the project cycle to understand their needs and position our solutions effectively.\nUpdate tickets and requests for support in our operational system, ensuring timely preparation of quotes and designs.\nCollaboration and Coordination:\nSupport Digi Account Managers by providing technical expertise when analyzing customer requirements and project specifications during the quoting phase.\nSupport and assist in demo system product deployments on-site.\nCollaborate with field teams to ensure design intent and answer project implementation questions.\nAssist the construction bid market team with pre-bid meeting attendance as required.\nRequired Qualifications:\nEducation – High School Diploma or equivalent\n5 Year minimum electronic security systems/low voltage electrical experience\nStrong technical knowledge of low voltage electrical systems, particularly physical security systems, and design principles.\nClear verbal and written communication, prompt and organized manner.\nAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.\nAbility to utilize Microsoft Suite.\nRole Requirements:\nPhysical ability to stand on feet for multiple hours at a time and navigate job sites for design site walks.\nPhysical ability to use a computer for multiple hours at a time.\nIn-person role based in office located in Richardson.\nWillingness to travel to customer sites as needed.\nValid driver's license, with no issues on driving record.\nPreferred Skills:\nAbility to utilize AUTOCAD and PDF editing software such as Adobe Suite or Bluebeam Revu\nExperience with ConnectWise Manage or other project management ticket based platform","company":"Digi Security Systems","rawCompany":"digi security systems","city":"Houston","state":"TX","isRemote":false,"isActive":false,"createdAt":"2026-04-09T07:57:47.679Z","occupations":[{"code":"17-2072.00","title":"Electronics Engineers, Except Computer","slug":"electronics-engineers-except-computer"},{"code":"17-3023.00","title":"Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technologists and Technicians","slug":"electrical-and-electronic-engineering-technologists-and-technicians"},{"code":"41-9031.00","title":"Sales Engineers","slug":"sales-engineers"}],"industries":[{"code":"561621","title":"Security Systems Services (except Locksmiths)","slug":"security-systems-services-except-locksmiths"},{"code":"541330","title":"Engineering Services","slug":"engineering-services"},{"code":"238210","title":"Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors","slug":"electrical-contractors-and-other-wiring-installation-contractors"}],"jobPosting":{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"JobPosting","title":"Solutions Engineer","description":"Digi Security Systems is an industry leader in the design, installation and support of custom video surveillance, electronic access control, intrusion detection and fire solutions for companies of all sizes.
