We are searching for a talented and self-motivated Composite Technician to help us create the future of flight. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:\nResponsibilities\nBuild composite components for air vehicles using appropriate lay-up techniques.\nOperate a broad variety equipment for cutting, kitting, and assembly of materials to include machines requiring understanding of computer software technology.\nUse hand/power tools in a safe and efficient manner to shape and form simple and complex components.\nPrepare composite components for curing process in autoclave and/or oven by applying proper vacuum bagging methods and procedures.\nEnsure parts meet all quality standards and guidelines prior to presenting for inspection.\nPerform simple composite repairs when needed.\nMaintain a neat and orderly work area, supports the company FOD (Foreign Object Damage) prevention program and complies with all safety regulations.\nMust be able to perform math computations, to include adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.\nMay work any shift and overtime.\nComply with good housekeeping, quality, FOD, and safety procedures.\nSupport other Aurora Flight Sciences sites as required.\nPerform other tasks as required by site leadership.\nMinimum Requirements\nEducation/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. high school diploma/GED).\nProficient in the use of computers and equipment which utilizes computer software technology.\nMust be a US Person.\nPreferred Requirements\nAdvanced vocational and/ or military technical schooling related to aircraft manufacturing or maintenance, or FAA licensed A&P a plus.\nAerospace and/or manufacturing work-related experience.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to work in a manufacturing environment and wear proper PPE.\nAbility to transport objects up to 35 pounds as well as consistently stoop, crawl, bend, crouch, climb and kneel.\nMust work second shift.\nMust be able to work extended hours if required.\nWork onsite in Columbus, MS.\nSalary Range (Annualized USD)\nMinimum Range: $30,000.00 to $53,000.00\nMaximum Range: $36,000.00 to $64,000.00\nAurora Company Overview\nAurora Flight Sciences, a Boeing Company, is a leader in the development and manufacturing of advanced unmanned systems and aerospace vehicles.
