Reads work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs. Records number of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets. Moves freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, and containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, and other equipment. Sort shipments\\\\goods before loading and unloading. Assembles product containers and crates, using hand tools and precut lumber. May loads and unloads trucks, using winches and other hoisting devices. Connects hoses and operate equipment to move liquid materials into and out of storage tanks on vessels. Packs containers and re-pack damaged containers. Carries needed tools and supplies from storage or trucks, and return them after use.\n\n*JOB STATEMENT*\n\nResponsible for material handling of all forms: Inbound, Outbound, Put-away and Inventory. This position may be cross training in Switchboard functions based on business needs.\n\n*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS*\n\n* High School diploma or equivalent\n* Warehouse Experience\n* Forklift 2+ years\n* Basic math\n* Basic computer skills , and use of basic mechanical/measuring tools\n* Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language\n* Must be able to work standing for the duration of the shift\n* Must be able to reach, grasp, lift 50 lbs , and push/pull/slide heavy material\n* Must be able to make coordinated movements of the hands and arms to grasp and move objects.\n* Must be able to stoop, bend, squat, crawl, and climb\n* Must be at least 18 years of age\n\n*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*\n\n* Unloads material from incoming trailers and places in staging areas\n* Breaks down pallets, sorts material by Stock Keeping Unit, counts, and separates\n* Places material away in proper locations while maintaining high standards\n* Stocks and maintains correct inventory levels\n* Picks/Packs materials to prepare for assembly or shipment\n* Palletizes materials, band/wrap, weigh, and load onto trailers\n* Uses SAP to do receipts, transfers, and shipping transactions\n* Discards scrap and/or defected materials that are not serviceable.\n* Initiates scrap tickets to generate part replacement orders.\n* Operates forklift and any other powered/manual material lifting/handling equipment for loading material onto, or unloading from trailers\n* Performs other work as directed by Supervision.\n\nQualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
