This role combines the core functions of a dispatcher and field supervisor-monitoring real-time service through TransLoc and other CAD/AVL systems, coordinating operators, and ensuring safe, reliable, and customer-focused service. We are seeking a professional who is highly organized, tech-savvy, and dedicated to safety.\r\nCompensation & Benefits\r\nNon-CBA Position\r\n\r\nStarting pay: $26.65-$27.49 per hour\r\nVacation: minimum of two (2) weeks per year\r\nSick Days: 5 days\r\nHolidays: 12 days (8 standard + 4 floating)\r\nAdditional Benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary long-term disability.\r\n\r\n*Benefits may vary depending on location policy.*\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nDispatch Operations (AM/PM Coverage):\r\n\r\nMonitor real-time vehicle performance using TransLoc and onboard vehicle technology to ensure routes are on schedule and operators are correctly logged in.\r\nAssign, adjust, and document vehicle coverage for both fixed-route and on-demand service.\r\nRespond to service disruptions, detours, or incidents, coordinating with road supervisors and management.\r\nProvide clear, timely radio and phone communication with operators and field staff.\r\nRecord service data, delays, missed trips, and operator call-ins using TransLoc and related dispatch software.\r\nCommunicate service updates to management and client contacts.\r\n\r\nRoad Supervision\r\n\r\nConduct on-scene investigations of accidents, incidents, or breakdowns; assist operators in completing incident and accident reports.\r\nPerform road observations and ride-checks to ensure safety, customer service, and compliance with company policy.\r\nCoach and retrain operators following incidents, performance issues, or new procedures.\r\nServe as liaison between operators, management, and client representatives for field service issues.\r\nAssist in training new operators, including TransLoc usage, customer service expectations, and on-road safety.\r\nSupport Safety Manager and GM with compliance checks, drug/alcohol testing coordination, and service audits.\r\n\r\nGeneral\r\n\r\nMaintain accurate and detailed documentation for service logs, incident reports, and shift summaries.\r\nWork cooperatively with other dispatchers, supervisors, and management to ensure continuous coverage and quality service.\r\nPerform additional duties as assigned.\r\n\r\nQualifications\r\n\r\nHigh School Diploma or GED (required)\r\nValid Class B Commercial Driver's License with Passenger (P) Endorsement (required)\r\n3-5 years experience in public transit dispatch or road supervision preferred\r\nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and dispatch software such as TransLoc or Passio\r\nExcellent verbal communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills\r\nMust be able to work AM/PM shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed\r\nSubject to DOT drug test and physical (if applicable).
