It's a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!Job Title: Specimen TechnicianLocation: Tampa FL 33617Duration: 3 MonthsPay rate: $19.78/hourSchedule: Monday-Friday 10:30pm-7:00am*The salary is determined by an individual's level of experience, as well as any relevant licenses and certifications they may hold.Key Responsibilities:Responsibilities:• Retrieve, sort and process specimens for shipment to referral laboratories.• * Strong understanding of test ordering policies, hospital procedures, specimen requirements, sample preparation, and compliance/legal guidelines* Knowledge of hospital Laboratory Information System (LIS)* Prints and reviews test reports* Ability to track and interpret specimen flow using reports and available tools* Manages supply ordering processes* Performs remote accessioning (pre-accessioning) as required* Troubleshoots issues related to specimen types, missing information, TIQ, TNP, and additional sample requests* Resolves client-related issues within assigned responsibilities* Acts as a liaison between clients and the laboratory to provide proactive support* Handles inbound calls with a professional and positive approach* Collaborates effectively with hospital laboratory staff, sales team, and internal departments* Communicates clearly about specimen issues, test cancellations, testing requirements, and billing requirementsQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.SPECIMEN PROCESSING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED WITH LABORATORY EXPRIENCE MEDICAL TERMINOLGY DATEA ENTRYPride-Health offers eligible employee’s comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance and employee discounts with preferred vendors.Equal Employment OpportunityPride-Health is an equal opportunity employer.
