This position will also support our vinyl weld department and will be responsible for setup and operating the vinyl RF welder according to the production schedule.\n\nMeasure, review and layout materials per the order specifications.\nSet up and program equipment and make any necessary changes.\nReplenish materials and load into machine via the use of forklift or overhead crane.\nChange out tooling when necessary.\nUtilize software to program correct files according to the production schedule.\nCut material using Oteman or weld material using the vinyl RF welder.\nInspect and examine work pieces to ensure quality of material meets the requirement of the customer.\nPerform repairs and preventive maintenance\n\nSafety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nPrevious experience using Microsoft software.\nStrong mechanical background.\nAbility to read and interpret reports, work instructions and blueprints.\nAbility to prioritize and follow the production schedule via iPad.\nAbility to safely operate a forklift and an overhead crane.\nRequires operating hand tools, power tools and pneumatic tools, fabrication tools and measuring devices.\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintaining instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.\nAbility to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.\nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
