Summary The Legal Executive Assistant (LEA) – Transactions supports attorneys by managing daily practice functions, allowing them to focus on client delivery and practice development. The LEA collaborates with Legal Administrative Assistants and Legal Support Assistants to ensure smooth operation of the attorney's practice area and represents the firm professionally. Location Washington, D.C. – hybrid work schedule. Responsibilities Manage attorney's projects, ensuring deadlines are met and tasks completed efficiently. Serve as liaison among attorneys, clients, and internal departments, handling inquiries and relaying messages accurately. Develop and maintain professional relationships, providing direction, feedback, conflict resolution, and collaboration across all organizational levels. Delegate assignments to LSAs and AskLegalSupport, monitor progress, and communicate on behalf of the attorney to achieve timely deliverables. Collaborate with other LEAs or LAAs on complex projects and provide mentorship to LSAs. Provide feedback to support teams to improve document accuracy and delivery time. Draft, proofread, and finalize legal documents, correspondence, and presentations, ensuring accuracy. Maintain electronic and paper filing systems, keeping work products accessible and up-to-date. Conduct research for the attorney and practice group; compile information for case preparation and executive briefings. Oversee meeting planning, coordination, and logistics; prepare agendas and ensure materials are ready. Handle billing matters, including approval forms and communication with the billing team; ensure timely processing of pre-bills and final invoices. Manage the attorney's calendar, scheduling, and travel itineraries; resolve conflicts and ensure expenses and time entry are processed accurately. Desired Skills Effective written and verbal communication in the region's native language. Initiative, adaptability, discretion, and professionalism with confidentiality. Strong knowledge of legal and administrative processes, problem-solving, and ability to convey complex information clearly. Process-driven with excellent time management, multitasking, and prioritization in a fast-paced environment. Technological proficiency with research, case management, billing, and productivity software, plus AI-powered tools and virtual collaboration platforms. Minimum Education High School Diploma or GED. Preferred Education Bachelor's degree in legal studies, business administration, or related field. Minimum Years of Experience Five (5) years in an administrative role within a corporate or legal environment supporting upper-level leadership. Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence quickly and accurately. Deliver timely, accurate, high-quality work product. Meet deadlines and complete duties as required. Work under pressure and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment. Perform any related duties as assigned. Physical Demands Primarily sedentary work involving sitting and using a computer. Occasional lifting or manipulation of up to 10 lbs. Walking and standing are generally minimal. Work Environment Hybrid arrangement of remote and in-office work, with requirements determined by the hiring manager and firm discretion. The compensation range is approximately $45.32 to $60.06 per hour, depending on geographic location and qualifications. Additional benefits are offered at the firm's discretion.
