Your ideas and contributions will matter.\n\nThis is a contingent position based upon customer approval.\nResponsibilities:\nSkyepoint Decisions is seeking a Data Scientist/Data Analytics to support the Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective, and secure business processes\n\nThis position will work a rotating hybrid schedule in Arlington, VA. WEEK 1 - 2 days onsite, 3 days remote WEEK 2 - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.\n\nWhat you'll do:\nCreate, maintain, and refine data models and algorithms used across the Directorate.\nImprove visibility and focus of large data sets to improve anomaly detection.\nIdentify new security monitoring use cases based on available data.\nImplement and support user and threat behavior analytics.\nCreate cyber threat intelligence conclusions by using data science and analysis (e.g. outlier detection, gap analysis, normalization, machine learning, automated models, natural language processing, etc.) techniques.\nQualifications:\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in and a minimum of 9 years’ of relevant experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.\nPossess one of the following certifications:\n\nCASP+ CE; CRISC; CDP; CRISC; CISM; CISSP (or Associate); CEH; GCIH; GICSP\nDemonstrated experience providing analytics solutions to detect anomalous activity.\nMust be able to work a hybrid schedule.\nDemonstrated work experience as a data scientist or analyst.\nTechnical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.\nExperience with Data Wrangling in Python.\nDemonstrated excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nDemonstrated strong collaboration and teamwork skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.\nMust have the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.\nU.S. citizenship and an Active Secret security clearance to start, with the ability to obtain a final Top Secret security clearance.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nSEC+ certification.\nDegree in Computer Science, Information Security or Data Analytics or related area.\n\nWhat We Can Offer You:\nAt SkyePoint, we go B.I.G.
