We strive to continually impress our customers by offering the best service and making it easier and fun to collect!\nJob Description\nCOMC is looking to hire a SQL Database Engineer who will report to the Senior Engineering Manager.The SQL Database Engineer is responsible for creation and improvement of SQL code and management of database servers.\nJob Responsibilities\nWrite and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and views, and provide review and feedback on SQL written by software developers\nAssist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement\nApply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations\nManage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems\nConfigure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security\nRefine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes\nProvide 24x7 support for critical production systems\nPerform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours\nShare domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members\nSQL Development: Write / Troubleshoot SQL Code and Design\nProvide Query / Script Support to other Departments / Systems\nBusiness Analysis / Report Writing\nPerformance Tuning and Optimization using Native Monitoring and Troubleshooting Tools\nUphold Company values, practices, and C.A.R.D. culture\nComplete other duties as assigned\nJob Qualifications\nBachelors degree with 4 or more years of practical Database Administration experience; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree\nSQL coding 2 -4+ years\nSQL Server management 2-4+ years\nMicrosoft Azure Cloud 1-2+ years (Preferred)\nDeep understanding of SQL Server database structures, theories, principles/practices\nAdditional Qualifications\nExcellent verbal communication skills.\nKnowledgeable about professional sporting industry (NBA, NFL, MLB etc.) is a plus.\nInterested in learning about the trading card industry.\nWork Location\nPreferred Location Tacoma, WA\nOpportunity for Remote work Hybrid;will be onsite several days / week\nBenefits Offerings\nA competitive salary\nEmployer provided Free Medical, Base Dental and Vision plans\nPaid Time Off up to nearly 4 weeks per year\n401 (K) Program with 100% Company Match\nEmployer provided LTD and Life Insurance\nSTD for employees outside of Washington State\nEmployee discount on COMC.com\nEmployee Assistance Program\nLegal Library Access\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
