UK: London, Manchester, Glasgow.\n\nPrimary Duties\n\nMentoring/Managing:\n\nHelp grow a team that works together to create a collaborative environment that promotes career growth, the production of high‑quality construction documents, client satisfaction, and acts as a safety net for each other.\n\nCoordinate the work of Electrical Engineers, EITs, and BIM Specialists with the balance of a multidisciplinary team throughout the entire project’s development.\n\nMentor, organize, and facilitate the growth of junior staff.\n\nCoordinate workload through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule.\n\nTechnical:\n\nAssume a substantial role in electrical design for data center/mission critical projects.\n\nWork with clients to understand their project‑specific requirements around reliability, growth increments, first cost versus life‑cycle costs, sustainability, construction schedules, and future flexibility.\n\nProviding detailed design and coordination with multidisciplinary team members.\n\nAttend design meetings with other team members and lead electrical discussion in the meetings.\n\nConduct schematic, design development, and contract document work sessions in conjunction with the Project Manager, Project Architect, and other disciplines.\n\nParticipate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance.\n\nDesign support during construction including field observations, submittal & shop drawing review, Request for Information (RFI) support.\n\nPerform other duties as needed.\n\nTravel: Some travel to job sites or other HDR offices may be required.
