The Project Engineer will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for supporting the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts. The individual hired for this position will be responsible for leading all Electrical design, implementation, and commissioning engineering activities associated with the implementation of a new test facility at Arnold AFB.\nKey Duties:\nPerform basic project engineering functions involving monitoring of progress, preparation of procedures, documentation of communications and meetings, and identification/evaluation of project issues and problems.\nCoordinate efforts of technical disciplines, vendors and licensors to ensure integrated and complete designs that meet project requirements and contractual obligations.\nReview project staffing requirements and coordinate staffing with supporting functional organization managers and/or subcontractors.\nSupport creation and coordination of overall project plans and schedules, and monitoring activities, progress, and milestones against the plans.\nSupport creation and coordination of project effort hours, and cost estimates and budgets, and monitor progress and cost performance against these.\nResponsible for the preparation, delivery and coordination of project deliverables, design documents, and bid packages.\nLead development of technical area designs in support of the overall facility design.\nDevelop engineering specifications for the design and/or fabrication of engineered equipment.\nPlan and ensure requisition of materials.\nEnsure that designs meet requirements across self-performed and subcontracted design efforts.\nProvide inputs for development of cost and schedule for execution of assigned scope.\nDevelop design change packages initiated from construction requests for information.\nProvide updates to project, engineering, and construction management teams.\nEnsure the quality of engineering generated documents (drawings, specs, calcs).\nPerform self-assessments withing assigned technical functional area.\nReview and address trends coming from audits.\nPerform or assign the review, verification and validation of new or updated software.\nEnsure that team members are properly trained and qualified to perform design work and assign activities accordingly.\nDevelop talent in each assigned discipline area to their desired career outcomes and assign activities accordingly.\nIt is a condition of employment to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.\nPerform other duties as required.\n\nRequired Skills, Experience, and Education:\nDue to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.\nAbility to complete a pre-employment background check, breath alcohol test, and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.\nThis is a sensitive/safety-sensitive position and is subject to DOT random drug and alcohol testing.\nMust be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and access to the AEDC local area network.\n8 or more years of work-related experience.\nBachelors degree in electrical engineering field.\nDesired Skills, Experience, and Education:\n4 years of experience in engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction/construction management (EPFC/CM) industry including the performance of functional tasks on projects with a well-developed understanding of procedures and interfaces.\nExperience participating in risk assessments initiatives.\nPrevious successful performance in a project engineering position.\nAbility to develop and sustain productive customer relationships while meeting the company’s needs.\nFlexible and adaptable approach, willingness to take on new work challenges; adaptable to changing circumstances.\nDemonstrated strategic thinking, accountability, and adaptability skills.\nAbility to set and maintain high standards of performance with responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments and tasks.\nCustomer focused with ability to develop and sustain productive customer relationships while meeting the company’s needs.\nProactive reporting of progress and accomplishments of assignments and apply necessary follow-up to monitor progress and results of project tasks and assignments.\nAnalytical approach to problem solving and identifying potential solutions.\nTechnical and business writing skills.\nBasic computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, email, spreadsheets, electronic presentations, and project management tools.\nBusiness Profile:\nCimarron is a global solutions company with a strategic partnering approach to satisfying customer-driven requirements.
