In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the data architecture for the NECS organization. In this role you will design, build and deploy analytics solutions that impact decision-making and drive measurable business outcomes. This role will collaborate closely with subject matter experts, business analysts, and technical teams to define and shape NECS’s data strategy.\nResponsibilities\nData Architecture & Engineering\nDesign and maintain data warehouse structures, schemas, models, and supporting pipelines.\nOversee end‑to‑end data pipeline development, including ingestion, transformation, and storage.\nBuild and optimize scalable data pipelines and transformation processes.\nData Governance & Quality\nEnsure data quality, lineage, and security across the entire data lifecycle.\nImplement and monitor data governance standards, lineage tracking, and compliance policies.\nCollaboration & Strategy\nPartner with subject matter experts to gather requirements and document data needs.\nCollaborate with cross‑functional teams on analytics solution design.\nManage partner relationships supporting the Data Transformation strategy.\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in a related technical field preferred; candidates with demonstrated experience and relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer, Databricks, SQL) will also be considered\nExperience with Azure cloud data services including Data Factory, Databricks, ADLS, Synapse, and SQL-based systems\nExperience with Power BI, Python, and similar analytical tools\nStrong SQL skills and working with large datasets\nExperience working cross-functional projects with diverse stakeholders and needs\nExperience in Agile/SCRUM product development methodologies\nProficiency with process-mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, Miro).\nCharacteristics & Attributes:\nStrong Analytical and decision-making skills\nA continuous improvement mindset and ability to lead teams through events to drive and uncover improvements\nLead with empathy and desire to seek out stakeholder perspectives\nAbility to develop strong relationships with business peers and approach every challenge with a customer-centric approach\nStrong change management skills and a keen eye to cause and effect relationships of changes\nAbility to influence and gain support from key stakeholders across the organization\nExperience writing user stories and acceptance criteria using industry standard formats\nBenefits:\n401(k) matching\nDental insurance\nEmployee discount\nFlexible schedule\nHealth insurance\nHealth savings account\nLife insurance\nPaid time off\nParental leave\nReferral program\nTuition reimbursement\nVision insurance\nApplication Question(s):\nThis is not a remote position.
