Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.A special education teaching opportunity is available in the northern suburbs of Denver, Colorado, within a smaller district that serves approximately 7,000 students across 16 sites. This role is ideal for educators passionate about supporting high school students in mild to moderate special education settings, with a focus on delivering individualized services, conducting learning evaluations, and managing report writing.Responsibilities:Provide special education services to 9th through 12th-grade students in a mild to moderate special education program.Conduct learning evaluations and develop corresponding reports to track student progress.Support a Mod to Severe Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) program, which does not include behavioral interventions.Participate in CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training provided during onboarding to enhance classroom safety and student support.Collaborate with educational teams and families to tailor instructional plans to each students unique needs.Qualifications:Current Colorado Department of Education (CDE) special education certification or proof of active progression toward obtaining CDE credentials.Experience or willingness to work in a resource setting serving high school students.Strong communication and organizational skills for managing evaluations and reporting.Ability to engage effectively in both in-person and virtual interview processes.Open to travel candidates, with clear communication regarding relocation status.Location & Interview Process:This position is located at a high school site in the Denver area.
